Leah is a character from
's comic strip "2's A Company" ([link]
). A while back he had asked people to draw guest strips and such for the site while he took a break and at the time I was too busy preparing "Alone in a Crowd" that I didn't get to do anything. But lately, between comics I do some random sketching or work on long-standing projects. So a few days ago I started sketching this piece here and I've inked and such between breaks. I've been enjoying "2's A Crowd," so I had the urge to draw someone from it. Leah tends to be my favorite, even if not much is known about her.
What I find really funny is AFTER I started this drawing,
posted a fanart of Leah to his site saying that he didn't expect fanart of her. That made me laugh. Anyway, Leah's a goth, so I was curious to see what she might look like decked out in extreme goth gear. The outfit was pretty funny to design, I'll admit.
In my continuing attempt to make things harder for m.....I mean, quest for improvement, I tried drawing this at an angle I don't usually use: slightly overhead looking down on the character as she looks up. I don't really think I got the look quite right. Her area below her chest just doesn't seem like what it should be to me (not to say that's the only mistake, just the most glaring to me). But hey, it was my first time. What do you all think? Any ideas on how to improve it?
